The Steelers may not have won the Super Bowl this year, but that won’t stop their fans from dancing in the streets—even if the celebration has nothing to do with football. The city of Pittsburgh will host a rally Thursday in honor of wide receiver Hines Ward’s victory on the television show “Dancing With the Stars” last month. In a statement, Mayor Luke Ravenstahl said he decided to hold the event after Steelers fans bombarded his office with phone calls “asking for the city to properly thank our hometown hero.”

Charlie Sheen in ‘Major League’

Put an Asterisk on the Wild Thing

In a recent Sports Illustrated interview, actor Charlie Sheen said he used steroids for the 1989 film “Major League,” causing his fastball to jump from 79 to 85 miles per hour. MLB.com analyst and former general manager Jim Duquette says that, unlike claims of being a warlock, this is a plausible one from Sheen. “One of the criteria that we used when evaluating possible PED users was a jump in velocity of four mph,” Duquette explained. “It’s not out of the realm of possibility for six.”
