NFL Picks Week 1: 3 Locks Guaranteed to Cover Spread – Bleacher Report

Easy money.
That’s what these three games should be called on the opening NFL schedule. These teams are locks to cover the spread Week 1 as they begin the season in 1-0 style.
New York Giants at Washington Redskins (+3): Washington’s QB situation is a mess. They’re probably already having nightmares of Justin Tuck and Jason Pierre-Paul driving them into the unforgiving field. Eli Manning is determined to prove he’s an elite QB and has two of the best WRs in Hakeem Nicks and Mario Manningham. More importantly, the Giants will control the game with their two-headed rushing attack.
New England Patriots at Miami Dolphins (+7): The Patriots annihilated the Dolphins in the second half of their Monday Night Football matchup in 2010. New England is determined to stay atop the AFC East and will start the season with a bang. Expect Tom Brady and Chad Ochocinco to begin the season point, but the defensive pass-rush to shock the world.
Detroit Lions at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (-1.5): The Lions snapped their 26-game road losing streak in Tampa Bay last year and will instantly meet expectations this year. Matthew Stafford is healthy and the receiving corps. is destroying the preseason competition. Ndamukong Suh and the front seven will pressure Josh Freeman all afternoon and shut down LeGarrette Blount.
