Nelson Mandela turns 93, a call to action to celebrate South Africa celebrates the anti-Apartheid icon’s 93rd birthday with birthday wishes across the country. People in the U.S. are also celebrating Mandela’s birthday by doing 67 minutes of community service, as the UN requested people worldwide do. 

Sixty-seven minutes in miniscule compared to the work that Mandela has done, giving most of his life in service to the greater good. The U.S. celebration of Neslon Mandela International Day comes after the First Family met the man in Johannesburg, South Africa last month.

‘Police Killing’ video released by the Taliban Disturbing footageof an execution-style murder of 16 policemen in Pakistan has been released by the Taliban. The video is allegedly from June when Taliban militants captured the police. The footages show the men on a hillwith their hands tied culminating in gunmen opening fire on them.

Ivanka Trump tweets birth announcemen Donald Trumps daughter, Ivanka and Jared Kushner gave birth to their first child and made the announcement via Twitter. The Internet welcomes the news making Ivanka the top trend on Google. This isn’t Trump’s first grandchild though: His son, Donald Trump Jr., has a son and a daughter.

David Cameron calls for Parliament in growing UK hacking scandal As the scandal continues to unravel and the fallout of Rupert Murdoch run News Corp. grows, Parliament is being asked to sit for an extra day. The Commons will be&recalled Wednesday, the day after they were supposed to take a six weeks recess, in order to get to the bottom of the huge police bribing and phone hacking allegations. Prime Minister David Cameron has called for Parliament to hear testimony from Murdoch, his son James and the recently arrested Rebekah Brooks. Things aren’t looking good for the Murdoch or for Brooks as Sir Paul Stephenson, Scotland Yard’s Chief of Police, and John Yates, the deputy commissioner of London’s Metropolitan Police, have also resigned due to the scandal.
