Lots of good stuff to start the Friday. Turkish cult chef Vahit Besir resurfaces in the TL, Anthony Bourdain goes on The Colbert Report, Ruth Reichl tells the story of a now-famous farm’s survival, the debate between neighborhood restaurants and star-craving ones, Unterman reviews Txoko, and so much more.

New York’s celebrated Vandaag has lost its chef: “[Chef Philip] Kirschen-Clark said that Vandaag’s management had ‘different views on the direction they wanted the restaurant to take. They wanted a more neighborhood approach but I prefer doing more elaborate food.’” [New York Times]
