Dancing with the Stars 2011: Chris Jericho (VIDEO) – Examiner.com
On his Website, Chris Jericho bills himself as an actor, television personality, radio show host and rock star. Can he add ballroom dancer to his resume? Everyone tries to dance, but not everyone is a dancer as Billy Ray Cyrus and Master P proved in their respective seasons.
Jericho has been a guest of the Los Angeles-based comedy troupe, The Groundlings, and he’s starred in a USA Network pilot “Ebaum’s World.”
Born Christopher Keith Irvine on 9 November 1970 in Winnipeg, Canada, and currently living in Los Angeles (and Tampa, Florida), Jericho started wrestling at 19 and in 2001 he was the undisputed champion of World Wrestling Entertainment. He’s won the WWF/WWE Intercontinental Championship nine times (a record), he’s been the WCW/World Championship winner twice, the WWF Champion once and the World Heavyweight Champion three times. He’s not a horse, but he’s a Triple Brown Champion–the ninth. He’s also the fourth person to earn Grand Slam championship.
If you’re wondering about the rock star part, he’s the lead singer for Fozzy, a heavy metal rock band from his own record label Ash Records. The band has released give albums: four studio albums (“Fozzy,” “Happenstance,” “All That Remains,” and “Chasing the Grail”) and a live album “Remains Alive.” “Chasing the Grail” was released last year.
Jericho published his first autobiography “A Lion’s Tale” in 2007. The book was a New York Times bestseller. This month, February, he released a sequel, “Undisputed.”
Jericho is not a stranger to reality TV. In 2008, he hosted a reality show calleed “Redemption Song” where selected women attempted to break into the music business. He was the first contestant eliminated on Simon Cowell’s 2006 Fox TV reality show, “Celebrity Duets.”
We know Jericho isn’t afraid of performing in front of crowds and he’s not afraid of spandex. He can also bust a move. Check this video.
