‘Doctor Who’ season 6 BBC America trailer released – Gather.com
Doctor Who season 6 is coming to BBC America on April 23 at 9PM, and now the first full-length trailer has been released. Are you looking forward to new adventures from The Doctor and his companions?
Season 6
The synopsis of the season premiere is as follows: “The Doctor, and his companions Amy and Rory, find themselves on a secret summons that takes them on an adventure from the desert in Utah – right to the Oval Office in 1969.”
The trailer (below) begins by showing The Doctor – with a beard and in chains. It shows River Song and The Doctor kissing with her voiceover, “This is The Doctor’s darkest hour. He’ll rise higher than ever before and then fall so much further. This is the day he finds out who I am.” Amy asks The Doctor for their location, and he says they’re “where [they've] never been.” Clips are shown from a few different episodes, including aliens they’ll be encountering and the main cast on the TARDIS. Someone tells The Doctor, “Fear me, I’ve killed hundreds of time lords,” but The Doctor replies, “Fear me, I’ve killed all of them.” There’s a look at a somewhat creepy, sad-looking clown with a red balloon in a motel room and a look at what appears to be the pirates-themed episode. Amy turns around with a gun in her hand and shoots as The Doctor yells, “No!” The trailer ends with the voiceover, “I’ve been running my whole life. Now it’s time for me to stop.”
The trailer certainly promises an exciting season of Doctor Who, and it will be interesting to see just what fans’ reactions are to the show coming to the United States. What are you most looking forward to seeing on the series?
